Hi Douglas,
Excuse me if I misinterpreted your question but I would have to guess a little bit what happened - correct me if I am wrong.
1, the lens is some incarnation of 45mm Hartblei shift lens in Contax 645 mount,
2, the adapter is a NAM-1 adapter converted to Canon EF mount by us, and
3, the problem is when you trip the shutter the camera displays Err-01.
Unfortunately a converted NAM-1 adapter requires an electronic lens to operate (one of the 9 Contax 645 lenses). A converted NAM-1 adapter is incompatible with lenses of other brands which do not have the necessary electronics to communicate with the camera body.
A workaround is to tape the electrical contacts on the Canon side. |
