| No, the AF is accurate so I do not see a need for it. |

| Yes! I have an AF accuracy issue so I need an adjustment like this. |

| I don't have an AF accuracy issue, but would like to see this feature just in case I ever do. |

I'm trying to update microfocus adjustment at close focus on this lens: 12720319
Step one says to set the camera at f/22, lens at f/8.
I presume that because the lens' max aperture is f/16, the camera (5d Mark II) will not allow a setting of f/22.
I've tried f/16, but I get no "blinks" or confirmed settings, and shots do not show adjustment.
Any advice?
UPDATE:
Never mind. I used the camera body to make the changes. Much easier. |

| Hi Conurus, is this method to adjust the lens in the lens itself more effective than using the AF adjustments in my 5d Mark ii? |

Storing the AF microadjustment in the lens instead of the camera has the following advantages
- you may store different adjustments for different zoom positions (for a zoom lens).
- you may store different adjustments for infinity and closest focusing distance.
- you may store a larger value (e.g. +3
then is possible with the camera body's adjustment.
The disadvantage is that in-lens AF microadjustment is more difficult to use. _________________ I am a bird and I uncovered the E, EF and N-mount communication protocols! |

| Thanks. I have another question...I'm trying to adjust my NAM-1 adapter...if I set the adjustment to +20 and then to +5, does that adjust my lens to +25, or does the +5 override my +20 (and the adjustment is now just +5)? |
